Savor our vineyard's flavors!
Savor our vineyard's flavors!
4 Christi's Vineyard LLC is located on the Wisconsin Ledge AVA, in Newton, WI just south of Manitowoc.
In 2014 we started out as commercial grape growers, eventually planting almost 3000 vines.
Kelly was in the plumbing industry and carried with him a passion for farming and working with equipment. Carol was involved in science including chemistry and microbiology and loved doing anything with nature and being outside working. It was a perfect match, with Kelly being able to do the construction/farming and Carol loving to work on the chemistry of the wine.
After a few years of hard work, along with the passion to produce wine from our own grapes,
we opened a winery in 2020 using only grapes from our two vineyards.
4 Christi's Vineyard, along with help from our family and friends, has now become a producer of fine estate wines, and we are proud to share our passion with you! You will find us outside working with the vines, working in the winery or enjoying wine with friends and family.
We do not have a tasting room yet, but feel free to give us a call.
Please try our wine, and taste our dream!
Here at 4 Christi's Vineyard, our growing season is quite short, but the cold hardy hybrid grapes we grow are made for this climate. Our wines are naturally high in acid due to the soil and climate of our vineyard in the Wisconsin Ledge AVA.
Being in the Wisconsin Ledge AVA, we have very unique terroir for our grape vines. The Wisconsin Ledge AVA is an American Viticultural Area in Northeast Wisconsin which is alongside the Niagara Escarpment. The Federal Government has deemed this to be
a prime grape growing region.
Our soil has good drainage, but it still has some clay further down, so we have no need for irrigation. We are approximately one mile from Lake Michigan, so we are blessed with the extra moisture in the air and the extra protection we get from Lake Michigan, especially in late spring.
We only have estate wines, made with our own grapes, so every bottle of wine was 'grown' in our vineyard. With the work of family and friends, we tend to the grapevines all year, harvest in early fall and make our wines right here in our winery.
These are the cold hardy hybrid grape varietals that we have planted and the wines we make from them will
have the same varietal names.
With God's riches we are able to share our wines with all of you. One of our greatest gifts is our family and friends who help us all year through;
from pruning and tending the vineyard in summer to harvesting and making the wine in fall. We are so grateful to everyone who has helped us along the way. We are most thankful to God for this opportunity.
We are so excited to show the wine drinkers of Wisconsin, that we CAN grow grapes in Wisconsin and we CAN make dry wines as well as sweet wines from locally grown grapes! Go out and explore some estate wines from our vineyard or some of our friend's vineyards!
We just finished cold stabilization and we are going to be filtering and bottling 2024 vintages soon! We tried something new with Sabrevois for 2024 and left it on the skins instead of making a rosé. For those of you looking for a semi-sweet red wine, you will want to give this wine a try. We will let you know when it is bottled!

We have so many wonderful helpers, I will try to change this image frequently, so I can share all of our wonderful family and friends.
The Marquette grape is a grandson to the Pinot noir grape. It is a bit finicky similar to Pinot noir. We used French oak to add a more complete flavor profile to this delicious dry red wine.
We used this grape three different ways. We decided to lightly press some of the Petite Pearl grapes and make a Rosé wine. We made this one a dry Rosé, great with fresh fruits and vinaigrette salad dressings.
This wine was made using our La Crescent grapes. This grape varietal makes an extremely aromatic and very flavorful semi-dry white wine. You will not want to miss trying this one.
Petite pearl grapes are small red wine grapes that have a powerful color and intense flavors for a cold-hardy hybrid grape. This grape lends itself to making a very flavorful dry red wine.
This is our first vintage with this particular grape, which we made into a semi-sweet Rosé using 100% Sabrevois grapes.
This wine was made using French oak, and remained on the lees for a bit of extra time which lends to some more complex flavors.
Here is that sweet white wine that some people are looking for. It is not super sweet, so you can still taste the flavor of the grapes. This was made using 100% Itasca grapes.
With this 2021 vintage of Petite Pearl, I decided to take out a barrel of wine and I allowed a little sweetness to prevail.
